Estimates are intended to reflect the approximate total price of an order excluding shipping (we can provide a separate shipping estimate upon request).

Estimates reflect the approximate price of products, printing services, design services, and any other services added to an order. Estimates are non-binding, and we’ll let you know which portions of the estimate are fixed and which portions could change.

Quotes

Quotes are binding offers valid for 14 days.

Aside from any pre-configured products listed on the website, the total cost of each order (minus shipping) is calculated using a custom quote.

Custom quotes are intended to reflect the total cost of an order, excluding shipping and proofs, including any applicable fees. This includes the total cost of products, printing services, design services, and any other extras added to an order.

Invoices

Invoices are provided on all orders not placed through our web store. Invoices reflect the total project cost including taxes, shipping, and fees. Invoiced orders will not be processed until the invoice balance (or required deposit) has been paid.

Minimum Order Quantities

The minimum order quantity (MOQ) varies with each project. We do not have a universal MOQ, and we ultimately want everyone using hemp. The following information is subject to change, so please contact us for more details regarding your specific project.

Fees and Expenses

Fees are paid directly and in full to Custom Hemp. All fees (Custom Service Fees, Design Fees) will be recorded on your estimate, quote, or invoice.

Expenses are shared with our partners and suppliers who help us source and produce custom hemp products for our clients. Expenses include all product costs, samples, proofs, and any related shipping expenses. 

Product Expenses

Product expenses, or product costs, are the expenses incurred sourcing and producing the products in an order. This includes the costs of materials, labor, and other supplies used to make your custom hemp products.

Custom Service Fee

Custom jobs ordered through the web store do not carry any service fees. The pricing listed at checkout is the final price including all taxes and fees.

All custom jobs with expenses below $2000 USD are charged a baseline Service Fee of $200. 

Custom jobs costing $2000 or more will be charged a Service Fee equal to 10% of the total product cost. 

The Service Fee will be noted as a line item on price quotes, job estimates, and invoices.

Schools, hospitals, military veterans, medical-only cannabis providers, and charitable nonprofits are eligible for a reduced or waived Service Fee. Please contact us for more information. 

Design Fee

We highly recommend our clients work with their own designers, but we’re happy to help if that’s not an option for you.

If you followed our File Setup Guide but your designs still require a few minor adjustments, we will make these changes at no cost before returning your proofs.

If your design is unsuitable for printing and/or requires more significant adjustments, we offer limited design services billed at the hourly rate of $100.

Paid design services may include document resizing, color adjustments, layout adjustments, and other fixes to ensure your design looks great on hemp.

We do not create content or design elements for our clients, and we reserve the right to deny our design services to anyone at any time for any reason. 

If our design team is booked, or if you have your own designer, it will be your responsibility to make the adjustments needed to complete the job.

Physical Proofs

Physical proofs (printed proofs) are available on some standard jobs for a flat fee of $50 per proof. 

Please note that physical proofs are not available for all products.

Certain products and jobs involving custom cuts or specialty print techniques, for example, may not be eligible for physical proofs and/or may carry additional charges.  

Paper Samples

We receive lots of requests for samples, so we’re putting together a Sample Pack that you’ll be able to easily order from our online store. 

In the meantime, please send us a request using the form on this page and we’ll get back to you ASAP! Don’t forget to let us know some details about your project so we can send you the most relevant samples.

We accept the following file types:

.pdf, .ai, .psd, .eps, .jpg/.jpeg, .png, & .tiff

Please note: some jobs have specific filetype requirements. If your job has specific requirements, we’ll let you know. Please see our File Setup Guide for more information.

Due to the custom nature of our work, each project takes a different amount of time to complete. That said, most custom orders are turned around in 2-3 weeks.

Standard orders usually take 1-2 weeks and can often be expedited for even faster turnaround and delivery.

If you need your job completed by a certain date, please let us know in your initial request so we can accommodate your timeline. 

Estimates are non-binding approximate job costs. Quotes, on the other hand, are guaranteed prices that remain valid for 14 days. Neither quotes nor estimates include shipping costs.

Please note that quotes are not available on all jobs. Quotes are generally reserved for products with standardized production processes and/or projects for which all requirements (materials, labor, etc.) can be determined prior to processing.

If we cannot produce a quote due to the nature of your project, we will provide the most accurate estimate possible.

Neither quotes nor estimates include shipping costs. Shipping is calculated after an order has been processed. We’re always happy to provide a non-binding estimate of shipping costs upon request.

There is no single print provider that offers all of the paper stocks and specialty print techniques we offer our clients. For this reason, we sometimes need to coordinate your job with two or more providers, which can cause delays in generating quotes or estimates.

For most common jobs (i.e. business cards, postcards, flyers, etc.) with standard digital printing, along with any jobs we print in-house, we return quotes or estimates within 24-48hrs.

Regardless of how simple or complex your job is, we’ll always keep you updated at each and every stage of the order process. 

No. Certain paper stocks work better for certain jobs, and some printing techniques are only compatible with certain papers. This is true with “regular” paper as well as hemp paper.

We remove the guesswork and make sure that every project incorporates the best materials and techniques for the job. We’ll review all your options with you beforehand and even send samples (charges may apply — samples subject to availability).  

Please note: this concept also applies to our apparel products (i.e. not all of our apparel products can be screen printed or embroidered, but some certainly can be). 

We offer returns on pre-designed retail products from our online store. Products returned to us within the 30-day return window will be refunded in full. Returned products must be in new and undamaged condition to be eligible for a refund.

We do not accept returns on custom orders of any kind.
